Garlic Bread with Grafton Village Garlic Cheddar

We posted a picture of the garlic bread that we made last week on our facebook page and the feedback was pretty good, so we thought we should probably post the recipe. While it came out incredibly tasty, the following recipe has a few changes to make it just a tad bit more awesome.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 loaf of crusty Italian bread cut in half length-wise
1/4 cup olive oil
2 T dried oregano (or chopped fresh)
1 T dried pepper flakes
4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
2 T Green Mountain Mustard – your favorite variety (we used Sweet Hot)
1/2 round of Grafton Village Garlic Cheddar Cheese – shredded

1. Cut bread load length-wise
2. In a glass dish, mix the olive oil, mustard, and garlic together with a spoon or whisk
3. Spread this mixture on both sides of the bread with a pastry brush
4. Shred the cheese and put it on top of the olive oil and mustard mixture
5. Sprinkle the red pepper flakes and oregano on top of the cheese
6. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

Note: You may need to put your oven in broiler mode to melt the cheese a little more.

Enjoy!
